How to Pay for Home Care Services

If you are looking for in-home care services in Las Vegas, NV, you may be wondering how to pay for home care assistance. The common two types of payment Heroes Caregiving deals with is, 1) Private Duty Pay and 2) Veteran Health Benefits. 

Private Duty

Heroes Caregiving works with our patients and families to ensure you can afford home care assistance. Private duty simply means you are electing to pay for home care services "out of pocket." 

Veteran Health Benefits

As a contracted provider with the Department of Veteran Affairs and Triwest Healthcare Alliance, our caregivers can provide you with home care services at no fee to the veteran.

Clark County Senior Services- In-Home Care for Las Vegas Seniors and Disabled Persons

The Senior Services Unit provides Las Vegas seniors and individuals with disabilities with appropriate in-home care services. These services include homemaker services, adult day care and long term care assistance. These programs are income based and is determined on a yearly basis. 


Community Food Assistance Program

The Community Food Assistance Program is available to Las Vegas seniors and Clark county Residents. Each order contains 30-40 pounds of assorted, essential food items. 

Helping Hands

Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, is giving food to Las Vegas seniors 60 years old and older. This program is also delivering emergency food bags to housebound Las Vegas senior citizens.

Congregate Meals

Lunch is served in the dining room at the Downtown Senior Senior: 11:15am-12:15pm, Monday-Friday & Heritage Park Senior Facility: 11:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Friday

Henderson Seniors age 60 and above are eligible for this program. 

Meals on Wheels

This program provides Henderson seniors who are homebound. Seniors must be age 60 years old or older. Meals on Wheels provides Henderson seniors with one hot meal each weekday, two frozen meals delivered for the weekend, and two quarts of milk each week.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a Henderson Senior Resident
  • 60 years of age or older
  • Homebound
  • Have a physical condition that prohibits the preparation of meals and attendance at a congregate meal site



USDA Commodity Food Program

The USDA commodity food program is available to low income Henderson seniors. This program provides Henderson seniors with groceries that may include items such as beans, cheese, pasta, rice, canned fruit, vegetables, mild, peanut butter, cereals, juices and meat. 

Senior Farmers' Market Program

USDA Farmers' Market coupons may be available to low income Henderson seniors. This program provides Henderson seniors with fresh fruits and vegetables.
